Since our inception over 30 years ago, the Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library have contributed almost $850,000 to the Library.  With these monies, the Library has been able to purchase computers, software, databases, video materials, fax machine, display racks, plus added hundreds of books to the adult, children, reference and large print books collections and a new video/sound system for the meeting room.  We are proud to announce that we have also begun a scholarship for future librarians.  To date we have awarded $14,000 in scholarships. Our recipients have been Jennifer Smith, Megan Yudd, Molly Adams, Ellen Rogers, Rachel Bavolar and Katherine Trimble. For the community, we offer adult and children's programs (free of charge), opera trips, books on wheels, trips and our annual book sale. Our latest contribution to the public is the free Museum Pass Program. We now have 13 museums involved. Over 1,000 patrons participated last year.
