Why Take Training.......

Through Adult Education courses, workshops and enrichment events, Girl Scouts of Washington Rock Council offers numerous activities for all adults to become involved in Girl Scouting.  As a Girl Scout volunteer, you are the person who brings the Girl Scout program to the girls in our council.  Whatever your role, you are important and vital.  This section contains information about the training process and details about the courses available to teach you how to manage your position, to make it exciting and to enrich your Girl Scout experience.  Our volunteer trainers are eager to assist you.  Come and join us for a fun, hands on learning experience.

New Leaders
Through Council education, you will learn where to get the information you need, what resources are available to you and who the people are that will support you in your leadership position. The courses will help you become a better and safer role model.

Parents and Friends
Parents and friends are invited to attend all Adult Education Opportunities to learn the nuts and bolts of the Girl Scout Program. Be sure to check with your troop leader or Service Team to determine the many ways that you can assist.  There is a role for every individual in Girl Scouting.

Veteran Volunteers
Every year we are introducing new courses and workshops to assist you in guiding your girls. As you advance from one level to the next, learn how the girls are changing and stay informed on changes from GSUSA. Expand your horizons and try new things.
