Dear
Parents,
The religious education school year is quickly coming to
an end, and it is time to sign up for your child/childrens classes
for next year. Attached you
will find information about all of the programs we offer, as well as your
registration form. Please take
the time to read all of this information carefully and return your form before
the deadlines indicated.
PLEASE
NOTE:
·
All
students enter through the Watterson St.
doors.
Primary grade parents are asked to park in
the school parking lot on Watterson St. to drop off and pick up their
child/children. Please do
not stand across the street and ask your child to cross the road to
you. We have had several
close calls with cars almost hitting students and the safety
of our children is a top priority to all of
us.
Primary grade students will go to the cafeteria
to sign in and have their snacks.
Jr. High (grades 6,7,8) will go directly
to their classrooms.
All students will be dismissed from the Watterson
St. doors.
·
Class times for primary grades have
changed.
Sunday classes will meet at 10:15 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Parents will not be able to attend the 10:30 a.m. Mass since it usually does not get out until 11:30 a.m., and students must be picked up by 11:15 a.m.
Monday and
Tuesday
primary grades will meet at 3:45 p.m. until 4:45
p.m.
Hopefully,
there will be less traffic at these times than the earlier times when the
Holy Trinity Interparochial School children are being let out and the school
bus is in front of the Watterson St.
door. Once again, the
safety of our children is of primary importance to
us.
This time change
will also allow the catechists more time to get to class and set up, and
the students more time to get to class and have a
snack.
·
The Jr. High Friday night format will not be offered this
year.
After meeting
with parents, I have decided that there are many details that would have
to be worked out before we can offer this
option. However, I will keep
this option in mind when planning for the following
year.
Sincerely,
Sr. Kathy Burton, SSJ, DRE
