The Pop Culture
Club
of Westfield High
School
The Pop Culture Club was formed in 1994 by two teachers at Westfield High School to bring about increased awareness of popular culture and its influence on us through examination and creation. The club members and advisor go on field trips to movies and museums in New York City, write and publish magazines and this website, produce radio and TV programs, organize events, and discuss popular culture, from cartoons and comic books to contemporary art. Membership is open to all and meetings are generally once a month.
Every spring the club holds the Pop Culturefest, where students get together
for live music and dancing, free food, and various side activities, like
finger painting and badminton. The Fest also showcases the year's best
student-produced videos in a mini video festival. Click here for pictures
