The Parkinson Support Group in Westfield meets on the second Monday of each month, except July and August, in the Parish House Lounge at 1:30PM. Please call the church office at 908-233-0301 Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM for information and directions to the church.
The group, now in its fifth year, was formed to foster the maximum potential for living by Parkinson people and their families. By getting together at these meetings, they provide themselves with opportunities for self-help, social contacts, and a chance to share personal experiences about coping with Parkinsonism.
The next meeting will be
on Monday, February 14, 2000. This meeting will be a rap session. We
will separate into two groups with the Parkinson people in one group and
the caregivers in another. We plan to have our associate paster, Vickey
Ney, lead the discussion with the Parkinson people. A care giver will be
selected to lead their group to talk about coping with the every day problems of
life with the disorder.
