Teens Help at Library Friends Book Sale
The Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library want to thank the several teenagers who volunteered to help with the annual sale.   They worked on the initial set up, and were a big help on bag day assisting customers with their purchases.  They receive credit for community service hours, but the young people also learn the value of giving their time and effort to a worthwhile cause.  The sale was a great success and the Friends appreciate the teens who helped  make it so.  Support the Westfield Library by joining the Friends next time you are at the library circulation desk. They sponsor several children's programs each year, a "Future Librarian" scholarship, and a free-pass program for New York and New Jersey museums.
Drive to Support National Guard
This month, 2000 members of the National Guard will be returning to Iraq.  Members of the Westfield Library are collecting toiletries for the Guard.  Possibly you stay at hotels while on business trips.  You might collect soaps and shampoos that you don’t utilize when you come home.  Why not think of dropping them off in the vestibule of the church.  There is a plastic container there for that purpose.

Evening of Reflection  Holy Trinity Church
Monday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Followed by Wine & Dessert in the Parish House

CONVERSION: IT’S FOR CATHOLICS, TOO!
Come and spend a quiet night as we reflect on our faith journey through  the eyes of Saint Paul. Paul should be considered the second most  important figure in Christianity after Jesus himself. Pope Benedict has declared 2008 to be the year of Paul. Fr. Tom Wisniewski, parochial vicar of Corpus Christi Church in Hasbrouck Heights and adjunct professor of theology at the College of Saint  Elizabeth, loves Paul and has been out spreading his message for the past year.  In this evening of reflection we will examine how we all need to be converted; we will  also examine sin in a whole new light as well as what we are really being asked by Jesus in order to be genuine disciples.
