Celebration Ministries
Celebration activities provide opportunities for all parishioners to come together for faith development, social functions and mutual support. These ministries provide a sense of belonging within our parish and the community-at-large.

Youth Ministry Patti Gardner
This ministry is open to all St. Helen's High School-aged young people.  It creates a community which enables our High School youth to continue their relationship with the church by discovering their gifts and unique qualities and by sharing themselves with the community.  Events include retreats, service trips, visits to homeless shelters, youth group meetings, Songbirds (youth choir), Peer Ministry (juniors and seniors), Senior Citizen and Youth Prom, musical productions, ski trips, car washes, barbeques, dances, participation in Habitat For Humanity programs, Passion Play and Contemporary Stations of the Cross.

Blue Horizons provides social events and support for widows and widowers in our community.  This ministry was originally started as a support group and has now evolved into a social and informational group.  Meetings are usually held the first Friday of each month (except for summer).
Hospitality Committee Terry and Mike Vinanskie
This committee provides coffee and fellowship after Sunday Masses and special
events during the year.
Parish Life Committee Dennis Cogan
This committee plans opportunities for parish members to socialize and celebrate together through various social events during the year, including the Parish Picnic, Breakfast With Santa, St. Patrick's dance and Pasta Night.
Elementary School
Social Program
Sheri Cognetti   (Grades 2 - 5)
This program's goal is to bring our young people together for fun activities in a church setting.  Some activities include a Halloween Party, Turkey Trot, Christmas Caroling and Bingo.
Middle School
Social Program
Claire Hughes  (Grades 6 - 8)
The goal of this ministry is to develop a social and religious connection between 6th, 7th and 8th grade children and the Church.  Some of the past activities include Game Night, Bowling, Christmas Social and Ice Skating.  This program is open to all Middle School-aged children of our Parish.
Parish Basketball League (Grades 3 - 8) Richie Hughes
Our Parish Basketball League consists of young parishioners in grades 3 - 8.  The League is solely run by parish volunteers who assist in coaching, refereeing and food sales.  Registration occurs in October, followed by a clinic and a draft in November.  The season spans most of the winter with games on Saturdays and Sundays, usually at the Parish Center.  The season winds down with a playoff series, in which all teams participate and ends with a pizza party/award ceremony in March.  The league's goal is to stress sportsmanship, team-building and fun in a Catholic environment.  Volunteers are always welcome.

Joe Ciacciarelli
Twenty teams, comprised of approximately 200 boys and girls, learn sportsmanship skills and team spirit while allowing both athletes and parents to get to know one another.  Parents participate as referees.  The CYO teaches and instills in the children team concepts and the spirit of fun.
Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts Jim McCloskey - Boy Scouts
Tom Madaras/Sheri Cognetti - Cub Scouts
The civic-mindedness of the Boy Scouts program in the Catholic environment of St. Helen's community is very evident through the volunteer services that the troop provides to many of the parish ministries.
